When there is already a good MMA video game (UFC Undisputed), you have to make sure that the one you’re coming out with is going to be over the top good compared to the game that already has established itself as the top MMA game. With THQ releasing UFC Undisputed 2010 this spring and EA Sports looking at a May 2010 release, this game is just set up to fail. The game looks good but doesn’t look any better than 2009 UFC Undisputed and there are good enhancements in UFC 2010 which are going to make it that much harder to beat.
The trailer is alright but again lacks the “buy now” effect to it:
Without playing a copy of this game ahead of time, I’m going to have to side with UFC Undisputed 2010 as the game to get this year for your MMA gaming needs.

well, id say if you’re a true mma fan and not a ufc “fanboy”, then u would be quite excited for ea mma… and id say by how you’re talking well about ufc 09, then u pretty much dont know anything about mma at all… that game is a HORRIBLE representation of the sport, all fighters fight the same, the ground game is like sock em’ bop em’ robots, the stand-up game is the same as well… ufc 10 sounds like a good step in the right direction, but 09 was horrendous (if u dont believe me go check there forums).. from what was stated in all the previews for ea mma, it sounds incredible… you’ll be able to fight all across the world in MULTIPLE organizatons, all fighters will be unique and fight like they do in real life, leg kicks can actually have an effect on the outcome of the fight, and if u work the legs enough your opponent will show it, and lots of additional features that i dont feel like typing lol… moral of the story, if you’re a true mma fan you’d be exstatic that we’re getting 2 games this year rather than 1, and u should prolly do a lil research b4 u write an article on a subject that u know nothing about

I’ll give the fact that 09 was pretty bad but if you’re expecting EA’s gaming engine to come out strong and be realistic the first year, you’re dreaming.
2010 Undisputed corrects a lot of the gameplay that has you hating it. My point is as a new MMA game, you’re risking your success by coming out with your game AFTER the one that’s already established and has a current base of sales is coming out.
You can’t expect EA Sports MMA to be successful if released after 2010 undisputed.

Its a little early to make your decision now mostly b/c you HAVEN’T PLAYED EA mma or UFC 2010 yet.
but 09 was the best mma game in recent memory, even though it wasn’t a greatly polished game
